Projects

Formula SAE Drill Point Jig
This project details a 3D-printed and sheet metal drill point jig for mounting suspension points that I oversaw and designed for Cyclone Racing's CR-30 vehicle.

Formula SAE Anti-Dive Clevis
Specialized in-house manufactured front upper A-arm clevis for Cyclone Racing's CR-30, allowing for variable anti-dive tuning. This clevis was an adaptation of our team's traditional suspension clevis, and added the ability to vary the front fore upper A-arm attachment point to change the anti-dive and vehicle dynamics parameters. Designed in SolidWorks and validated in Ansys, I worked closely with our spring and damper engineer for exact adjustment values, and then had to overcome variable obstacles such as suspension compliance and chassis packaging. Overall, a robust, 2-way adjustable anti-dive clevis was developed, with the potential to add additional adjustment if needed.

3D Printer Heated Chamber
Custom Bambu Lab X1C heated chamber I created using a portable heater, Wi-Fi outlet, and temperature-controlled outlet, among other materials, granting me the ability to print at 60°C and with exotic materials more consistently.

SolidWorks V6 Twin-Turbo Engine
SolidWorks-modeled 217-part twin-turbo V6 engine, utilized SolidWorks Visualize for renders.

3D Print Various Projects
Various CAD-designed FDM 3D-printed projects, such as trash cans that seamlessly held a grocery bag for waste, teaching my younger brother how to CAD and 3D print his own display hooks for a sword, a replacement dress clip, Stanley 40oz Tumbler water bottle lid toppers, and an engine block phone stand. Each project taught me something different, ranging from filament behaviors and tendencies to detail related print orientations.

Automotive Repair Work
Various automotive repair work, mostly on my mom's 2007 Toyota Sienna, including sliding door cable repair, suspension overhauls, wheel bearing replacement, spark plug and fuel injector replacement, and sliding door track repair. Being a car person for a long as I can remember, I have developed a love-hate relationship with fixing up cars (anyone who works on their own vehicles could probably agree). With my exposure, however, I have grown vastly in my Design for Manufacturing principles, failure mode analysis, and theory to reality thinking.
